8:30 AM-12:00 PM or 3:00 PM Responsibilities As a Medical Receptionist, you will: Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally Take accurate messages and route them to the appropriate provider or staff member Prioritize urgent calls according to office protocols Schedule and confirm patient appointments Retrieve voicemail messages and return patient calls Welcome patients and families with a friendly, professional attitude Monitor patient flow and communicate with clinical staff as needed Support administrative operations and perform additional duties as assigned Work collaboratively with providers and teammates to deliver exceptional patient care Processing encounter forms, including but not limited to: Scanning Faxing in EMR Portal and verbal communications Complete patient check-in, including but not limited to: Verifying demographic information Confirming insurance coverage Collecting co-payments and outstanding balances Complete patient check-out, including but not limited to: Scheduling follow-up appointments Assisting with patient portal enrollment Verifying paperwork Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, professional, and compassionate Reliable, organized, and self-motivated Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through Comfortable multitasking in a busy medical office An effective communicator with strong customer service skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to work at both Chelmsford and Dracut office locations Preferred Qualifications Previous medical receptionist or healthcare office experience Experience using Epic EMR (preferred but not required) About Our Practice Chelmsford & Dracut Pediatrics is a busy, growing pediatric practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and families throughout our community.
