Jobs › Northampton, MA › Medical Receptionist Pioneer Spine and Sports Physicians, P.C Medical Receptionist Northampton, MA Apply Medical Receptionist 7:30-5 PM M--Th 8-12 Fri at our northampton location We are focused on providing personal, high quality, compassionate care for each of our patients. We are looking for staff who can provide these services. We are a very busy specialty office looking for dedicated staff members to join our team. Looking for front desk for our medical office. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize clinic flow Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance verifications, and handle billing processes including medical collection procedures Review and update patient records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of health information Assist with documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and ensure accurate medical billing for services rendered Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately Maintain organized medical records, process incoming documents, file paperwork systematically, and support health information management efforts Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant within a clinical setting; clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and prior authorization Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10-key for efficient data entry Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
