About Us:
Synergy Physical Therapy is a well-established outpatient clinic serving the Northampton community for over 10 years. We are known for high-quality care and a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to support our front office operations on a part-time basis.
Why This Role Matters:
This position plays a key role in keeping the clinic running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for patients and help ensure an efficient schedule, accurate patient information, and positive overall experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone in a friendly, professional manner Answer and manage a multi-line phone system Schedule patients to maximize therapist schedules and minimize open slots Accurately register patients and verify demographics, insurance, and required documentation Collect co-pays and assist with end-of-day balancing Obtain referrals and prior authorizations as required Document clear and accurate information in the EMR (WebPT or similar) Manage incoming/outgoing faxes, records requests, and general office communication Support daily clinic operations including filing and coordination of appointments
Qualifications:
High school diploma required (associate's or higher preferred) Experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare office preferred Strong computer skills (Windows-based systems; EMR experience a plus) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:
Part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Monday-Friday hours (Opening 7am and/or closing at 7pm EST) Consistent weekly schedule preferred
Work Environment:
In-person position (Northampton, MA) Primarily seated, computer-based work Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, and filing
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
