You'll handle appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical and dental record management, and front desk operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal patient flow Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Review and update medical and dental records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Conduct insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and explain treatment plans to patients clearly Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle patient inquiries promptly Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental charts, and administrative documents in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with intake procedures, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications to enhance patient satisfaction Support office management tasks including data entry, typing reports, and managing office supplies Skills Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk skills Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Knowledge of medical billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and insurance claim processing Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Familiarity with medical terminology, care plans, and documentation review processes Competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10-key typing) Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor Experience with health information management systems such as eClinicalWorks or Dentrix preferred Strong organizational skills for filing, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a caring team dedicated to providing exceptional dental care.
