- About the Role
- Join Mount Auburn OBGYN in Watertown as a Medical Secretary supporting patients, providers, and daily front-desk operations in a busy outpatient practice. You will welcome patients, coordinate appointments, manage calls and messages, verify insurance information, support referrals, and maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- What You'll Do
- + Greet patients in person and over the phone in a courteous and professional manner + Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using the electronic health record + Register new patients and update existing patient information + Manage incoming calls, messages, and faxes + Communicate patient information to providers and staff promptly + Verify insurance eligibility and process insurance information + Collect co-pays and process payments + Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records + Prepare correspondence, reports, and medical documents + Coordinate specialist referrals and follow up on authorizations + Support medical staff with administrative tasks + Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk and waiting area + Cross-train and assist other team members when needed •What Success Looks Like•You will be successful in this role if you are: + Professional and compassionate with patients + Organized and able to manage several responsibilities at once + Accurate and attentive to detail + Comfortable working with computers and electronic health records + Clear and professional in written and verbal communication + Able to work independently and follow established procedures + Calm and adaptable in a busy medical practice + Committed to patient privacy and confidentiality + Willing to cross-train and support your colleagues •Why Consider This Opportunity?

- $20.
