In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and providers, ensuring smooth front-office operations while expertly managing the complex process of obtaining prior authorizations for pediatric medical services. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline patient care, facilitate insurance approvals, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative excellence with impactful healthcare support in a fast-paced pediatric environment. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional front-desk service and guiding them through check-in procedures Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks using managed care protocols Prepare, submit, and follow up on prior authorization requests for pediatric medical procedures, medication, tests, and treatments Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Manage incoming calls efficiently, directing inquiries related to appointments, insurance verification, or medical records Support office operations by scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and assisting with general administrative tasks Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting experience preferred; familiarity with office procedures is essential Strong knowledge of managed care processes, insurance verification procedures, and medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10
codes Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail when handling medical records and documentation Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members Medical terminology proficiency necessary for accurate documentation and coding tasks Prior experience with medical records management and insurance claim submission is highly desirable Join us in making a difference in pediatric healthcare by ensuring efficient administrative workflows while providing compassionate service.
