Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing all administrative aspects of the clinic. Your energetic approach and excellent organizational skills will help streamline daily operations, facilitate patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of clinical confidentiality. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, handle patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment reminders Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims efficiently. Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) management in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical or dental office setting with familiarity in dental terminology and medical billing practices Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and office management abilities Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations Prior clinic experience or hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with multi-line phone systems and electronic health records management is essential Strong organizational skills to manage scheduling, filing, documentation review, and office administrative support efficiently.
