Seeking someone with ability to work in a fast paced environment, able to work with four providers, medical assistants and have excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Reports to Practice Director. Works closely with primary receptionist to answers phones, schedules appointments for incoming calls and exiting patients. Perform routine administrative duties such as: greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, school forms and referrals, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging prescriptions, radiology authorizations. Give instructions by phone to patients as instructed by Physician or Nurse Practitioner. Makes pre-authorization calls to insurance companies. Checks patient insurance prior to visits. Ensures all insurance is active and prepares files and electronic medical record for office visits. Checks faxes and uploads patient reports on a daily basis. Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls. Have excellent customer service skills to work with patient's parents and family members. Process messages from patients and front office staff to providers. Check health insurance information, prepare chart for visit including patient bill, physical papers, collecting co-pay and confirming Dr. Aguilar is the PCP on the patient's insurance. Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider. Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment. Download files and faxes from office inbox and distribute to appropriate staff or upload to appropriate patient files. Assist Providers in exam rooms and front office staff at the front desk with translation All other duties as assigned by Physician, providers and Practice Director.Details:
- 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. Off Thursdays
- Prefer medical office experience.
- Salary based on experience.
