Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our medical office. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, billing processes, and coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 and dealing with clearing house. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits while maintaining an organized calendar. Handle medical records management, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Process medical billing inquiries and assist with insurance verification as needed. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 for accurate record keeping and billing purposes. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the patient experience. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and appointments. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical billing, and coding (ICD-10, ICD-9). Familiarity with medical records systems is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff. Attention to detail is essential for accurate data entry and record management. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
