Midwest Dermatology Institute is a fast-growing dermatology practice dedicated to providing exceptional skin care with a personalized touch. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality medical and cosmetic dermatology services in a warm, welcoming environment. As our practice expands, we're looking for a dynamic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and help us continue delivering excellent care.
Position Summary:
As the Front Desk Receptionist , you are the face of our office. You'll be the first person patients see when they arrive and the last when they leave—making your role vital to creating a positive, professional, and seamless experience. We're seeking someone who is enthusiastic, organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere Answer and manage incoming phone calls and inquiries with a friendly, helpful attitude Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) software Verify patient insurance information and assist with registration paperwork Collect co-pays and balances Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, and data entry Assist with special projects and support other team members as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 2 years prior experience in a medical office or dermatology practice required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with technology and EMR systems (e.g., Modernizing Medicine Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented Professional appearance and demeanor Why Join Us?
