We specialize in treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries with a team of skilled physicians and healthcare professionals. We are seeking a personable, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact and play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced medical office environment. Previous medical office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong customer service and administrative skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner. Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals. Collect copayments, balances, and required documentation. Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR). Handle basic administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing and data entry. Assist and manage patient paperwork, including consent forms, FMLA forms, disability forms, physical therapy notes, etc. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff. Respond to patient inquiries and route messages appropriately. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance requirements, and authorization processes. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (EMR). Experience with Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and retain information. Must be computer literate and typing proficient. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Radiates positive energy. Problem-solving skills.
