Job Description

Midwest Dermatology Institute is seeking a dependable and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our growing dermatology practice. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, professionalism, and patient experience our practice is known for. Prior dermatology experience is strongly preferred. Experience with ModMed/EMA is a significant advantage. 2 years of Medical Rection background is Required. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth Manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system Schedule appointments accurately using EMR software Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect copays and ensure required documentation is complete Maintain accurate electronic medical records Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to support smooth patient flow Keep the reception area organized and welcoming Qualifications Prior dermatology or specialty medical office experience preferred 2 years Medical reception experience required Experience with ModMed/EMA strongly preferred Solid understanding of insurance verification and front desk workflows Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and eager to contribute — a team member who takes ownership of their role and approaches each day with professionalism and initiative.
