In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Your energetic approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to support high-quality patient care and administrative excellence. This position requires coverage at our Rochester Hills office and our Oxford office, so reliable transportation is required. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate billing processes Collect patient information accurately and update electronic health records (EHR systems) Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries and appointment scheduling Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper coding standards including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes Assist with medical billing and collection processes to support revenue cycle management Maintain organized medical records, files, and documentation review processes for efficiency and compliance Support front desk operations by handling patient check-in/out procedures and managing office supplies Skills Proficiency in medical office management software such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or similar EMR/EHR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and healthcare documentation standards Experience with insurance verification, Medicare billing procedures, and medical collection practices Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing proficiency Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Join our team where your enthusiasm fuels our mission to deliver outstanding healthcare experiences!
