Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a busy clinic environment, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in medical office systems, and a strong understanding of patient care processes. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the clinic. Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records and files using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Assist with medical collections by processing payments and managing billing inquiries. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and ensure timely patient follow-ups. Perform general office management tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining cleanliness at the front desk area. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, office management practices, and electronic health record systems is essential. Experience with medical collections and understanding of insurance processes is a plus. Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment is required.
