Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors to the medical office in person. Schedule appointments for the physician and other providers efficiently. Retrieve and ensure correct patient files, manage new patient record forms, and keep orderly records for physician examination or treatment. Keep a timely, accurate schedule by reminding providers & patients of service changes & delays. Communicate daily with medical professionals and outside organizations. Assist ill or distraught patients as necessary. Arrange for patient transportation, as needed. Organize and keep the reception area in a neat and orderly condition. Assist patients with insurance and billing questions. Opens and sorts office mail. Collect and record patient payments. Prepare accurate daily reports & deposits. Assist other staff members as needed.
Education:
Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. Individuals possessing Medical Administration diploma/certification, or equivalent training, will be given first priority. Ideal candidate will possess 1 +year(s) medical experience, including direct patient interaction and working within Electronic Medical Records software systems.
Essential skills required are:
Pleasant personality, time-management, organization, customer service, strong written & verbal communication, strong computer/data entry, and a tidy appearance. Knowledge of medical procedures and medications are a plus. Candidates are also encouraged to apply, in person.
