Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and knowledge of healthcare protocols will be instrumental in maintaining smooth clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care delivery while honing your skills in office management within a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures using the office software. Manage appointment scheduling efficiently through medical office management software. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks. Handle patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while maintaining accurate documentation review for medical records. Collect payments and perform medical collections while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). Maintain organized filing of medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and other documentation in compliance with health information management policies. Skills Proficiency in electronic medical records. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and health insurance policies including Medicare. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems and demonstrate professional phone etiquette. Prior clinic or medical office experience combined with clerical skills such as filing, data entry, and documentation review. Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA standards. Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, appointment schedules, and insurance documentation efficiently. $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
