We're looking for a warm, organized Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team on a part-time basis (Mon / Wed / Fri, 9:00 AM
•6:00 PM). This is a fast-paced, high-volume role — our practice sees an average of 480 patients a day — supporting a pediatric and adolescent patient population. You'll be the first friendly face our families see and a key part of keeping our front office running smoothly. We use Veradigm (Allscripts) and Phreesia for scheduling and records. In this role, you will: Welcome patients and families with a friendly, compassionate demeanor and monitor the lobby to keep wait times in check Manage appointment scheduling by phone, in person, EHR, and online requests, coordinating with the physician's scheduler Make reminder calls for unconfirmed, pre-scheduled appointments Process patient check-in and check-out, verifying and updating information and ensuring required forms are complete Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information and routing calls as needed Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records in the practice management and EMR systems Verify insurance coverage and inform patients of co-pays, out-of-pocket costs, or balances due Process payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff Support general office needs — filing, faxing, scanning to the EHR, mail, and supply tracking This is a part-time position with a fixed schedule as listed above. We're looking for candidates specifically seeking part-time hours — this role is not intended to lead to full-time employment. Why You?
