The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, billing, insurance and administrative processes, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has extensive knowledge of dental insurance, claims processing, scheduling, and patient communication. Duties Manage daily front office operations. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance coverage. Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes. Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix Ascend dental software. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle medical collections and insurance verifications efficiently. Provide support to the dental team as needed to ensure smooth operations. Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility. Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims. Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately. Appeal denied insurance claims when necessary. Handle treatment estimates and explain patient financial responsibilities. Coordinate care with the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care program. Maintain accurate patient records within practice management software. Manage recalls, unscheduled treatment, and patient follow-up. Help improve office systems and workflows. Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is required. Familiarity with Dental software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative support practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in computerized systems for scheduling and record management. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy is essential.
