Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring seamless operations while assisting with physiotherapy procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and experience in patient service and rehabilitation care. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling to ensure efficient clinic flow. Assist physical therapists with patient transfers using proper transfer methods and manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and comfort. Prepare treatment areas, set up therapy equipment, and assist during physiotherapy sessions to support optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment progress, and uphold strict confidentiality standards in compliance with privacy regulations. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering emotional support throughout treatment sessions. Support administrative tasks such as billing, intake processing, and managing patient correspondence to facilitate smooth clinic operations. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting with exposure to physical therapy or rehabilitation environments. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and post-acute care practices relevant to physiotherapy. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during patient transfers or equipment setup. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications in acute care or hospital medicine are advantageous. Strong client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service across diverse populations including geriatrics and orthopedics. Experience working within inpatient or outpatient settings specializing in orthopedics or rehabilitation is preferred. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality rigorously while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
