Job Description
We are a growing sleep medicine practice seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is an in-office position ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, is comfortable speaking on the phone, and can confidently use computers and electronic systems. Primary Responsibilities Answer incoming patient phone calls in a friendly and professional manner Schedule and manage patient appointments Assist patients with general scheduling and practice-related questions Document and update patient information in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Monitor and respond to emails Route patient questions or messages to the appropriate clinical staff when needed Help maintain accurate patient and scheduling information Provide courteous and professional customer service to our patients Assist with other basic front-office administrative duties as needed Qualifications Friendly and professional phone manner Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable using computers, email, and web-based applications Ability to learn and work within an EHR system Organized and attentive to detail Dependable and able to work independently Able to appropriately handle confidential patient information Prior medical office, receptionist, scheduling, or customer service experience is preferred but not required Schedule This is a part-time, Monday through Friday position , working approximately a few hours each day. Specific daily hours can be discussed during the interview process. About the Position We are looking for someone who will be a welcoming and helpful point of contact for our patients. The right candidate does not necessarily need extensive medical office experience—we value reliability, professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to learn our systems and processes.
