A minimum of two year's experience working as a receptionist in a medical office is preferred. Experience in plastic surgery or outpatient surgery is a plus! Primary responsibilities include:
Providing a concierge level of service - making each encounter with our patients amazing. Managing a multi-line phone system. Checking patients in/out. Charge entry of office services, payment posting and balancing. Verification of health benefits. Calculate deductible and coinsurance amounts due as needed. Obtain pre-certification and prior authorizations as needed. Collecting payments for services rendered. Data entry and scanning documents into the electronic health record.Essential skills and abilities:
Outstanding telephone etiquette and communication skills. Substantial knowledge of general medical terminology. Plastic surgery a plus! Electronic health record experience. Strong computer and organizational skills. Ability to work as a team member. Well-organized with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Treat patients and co-workers with respect. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times. Empathetic with patient's needs and concerns. Highly dependable.Benefits Package:
