Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and the ability to handle various administrative duties efficiently. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow within the clinic. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient needs and appointments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room. Handle incoming calls, directing inquiries to appropriate staff or departments. Support medical administrative functions, including filing, data entry, and correspondence. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with clinic operations. Knowledge of physiology and emergency medicine is advantageous. Experience in urgent care settings or similar healthcare environments preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional patient care. Familiarity with X-Ray systems or other medical equipment is beneficial.
