Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk/Insurance Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role combines exceptional administrative support with comprehensive insurance coordination to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, extensive experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and a thorough understanding of health insurance protocols. Duties Greet patients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and coordinate patient intake efficiently using Dentrix dental office management software Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and communicate benefits clearly to patients. Enter insurance payments, adjustments, appeals, pre-determinations. Handle billing procedures by submitting claims through various insurance carriers while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding insurance benefits, payment options, and appointment scheduling via multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette. Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Assist in office tasks such as filing, data entry, and supporting the clinical team with administrative duties related to information management. Experience Proven experience in a dental front desk role with a minimum of two years in a dental office setting. Extensive knowledge of dental insurance processes including verification, claims submission, and reimbursement procedures. Familiarity with Dentrix a must. Strong understanding of dental coding, billing practices, and documentation review for accuracy. Demonstrated ability to handle administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing).
