Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator ProFysio Physical Therapy - Old Bridge, NJ Full-Time | Monday-Friday Join a Team That Makes a Difference At ProFysio Physical Therapy, we believe every patient deserves an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through our doors. That experience starts with our front desk. We're looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys helping people. If you're organized, dependable, and enjoy keeping a busy office running smoothly, we'd love to meet you. This is more than a reception position. You'll play a vital role in creating a great patient experience while helping our therapists deliver outstanding care. What You'll Do As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll be responsible for ensuring the office runs efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients and creating a welcoming environment Answering a high volume of incoming phone calls Scheduling new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments Managing therapist schedules for maximum efficiency Verifying insurance information Collecting co-pays and outstanding patient balances Responding to patient questions regarding appointments and billing Communicating with physician offices and insurance companies Processing medical records requests Maintaining accurate patient information in our electronic medical record Assisting with additional administrative projects as needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy medical office Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly Preferred Experience Physical therapy, orthopedic, chiropractic, pain management, or other outpatient medical office experience Insurance verification and authorization experience Medical billing knowledge Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience Experience collecting patient payments The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Enjoys helping people Takes ownership and solves problems independently Can prioritize multiple tasks without becoming overwhelmed Communicates professionally with patients, physicians, and coworkers Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic every day Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service Why Join ProFysio?
