Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and assist with patient intake and registration processes. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing including Medicaid billing. Enter insurance payments. Answer phones with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle patient inquiries promptly. Collect payments, process medical records, and perform basic billing tasks. Ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies. Support clinical staff by coordinating appointment schedules, and preparing patient charts, Requirements Must be bilingual Proven experience as a Medical or Dental receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred. Strong knowledge of dental insurance procedures including insurance verification, claims submission, and Medicaid billing processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Open Dental Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology to accurately assist patients and support clinical staff. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Basic computer skills including typing (10 key typing), data entry, filing electronic health records. Understanding of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA confidentiality policies and clinical documentation protocols.
