Job Description
Join the team at Total Rehab at Moorestown as a Unit Clerk and play an important role in supporting our subacute care team. The Unit Clerk provides administrative support to nursing staff, maintains accurate patient records, coordinates communication, and helps ensure the smooth daily operation of the nursing unit while delivering excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors. Responsibilities Answer phones and greet patients, visitors, and staff professionally. Maintain and update patient records and electronic medical records (EMR). Process physician orders and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges. Coordinate communication between nursing staff, physicians, departments, and families. Prepare and organize charts, forms, and unit documentation. Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, and data entry. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous Unit Clerk, healthcare administrative, or long-term care experience preferred. Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
