Job Description

Nursing Unit Secretary Part Time Oncology Nsg Unit-ONNU The Nursing Unit Secretary Part Time will: Serve as the central focus of communication for the Patient-Care Unit Coordinate the clerical functions of the Unit- assisting with charting, admissions and discharges, etc Maintain organization within Nurse's station to promote an orderly workflow Receive, sort, and organize all interdepartmental communications Schedule and coordinate special patient appointments with other departments as directed by Health Care Team Members within an appropriate amount of time Answer call bells and assisting as appropriate Answer a high volume of phone calls Welcome and assist all visitors to the unit
Requirements:
Work requires the ability to read and transcribe Physician orders. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills essential. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of Hospital personnel, patients and visitors. Good communication/phone skills required.
Salary Range:
17.30 - 23.36 USD We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
