The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Our Unit Secretaries play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the unit and helping patients, families, providers, and staff stay connected and informed. By providing organized, responsive administrative support and coordinating essential information, our Unit Secretaries help create an efficient environment where teams can focus on delivering excellent patient care. As a Unit Secretary, a typical day might include: Providing clerical and administrative support, including correspondence, reports, meeting materials, and maintaining files Answering telephone calls, screening calls, taking messages, and responding to routine inquiries Managing incoming and outgoing mail and communications Coordinating inpatient and ambulatory scheduling with outside referring facilities Supporting monthly partner meetings, including preparing PowerPoint presentations and sharing annual wellness visit data Tracking data in Epic and assisting with reports, patient outreach, and follow-up activities Supporting practice managers with action items, expectations, workflow changes, and operational needs Providing Epic training to staff as needed and serving as a liaison between the Medical Group and primary care practices Maintaining office systems, supplies, and equipment while following departmental and hospital policies and procedures Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion This role might be for you if: You're organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities You communicate effectively and work well with providers, staff, patients, and other partners You're comfortable working independently and taking initiative to complete assignments You have strong computer skills and are comfortable learning new systems and technology You take pride in accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through You handle confidential information with professionalism, tact, and courtesy To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) . Proficiency with word processing software, strong typing, organizational and communication skills, attention to accuracy, ability to work independently, and maintaining confidentiality are required. 1-3 years of general clerical experience is preferred as well as hospital experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
