The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical procedures, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance processes to ensure compliance and efficiency in billing operations. Duties Accurately code patient diagnoses and procedures using

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, and DRG methodologies. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Review and follow up on unpaid claims, resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the billing process. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing purposes. Utilize EMR and EHR systems to manage patient data effectively. Conduct medical collections as needed while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity towards patients' situations. Skills Proficiency in medical billing processes and procedures. Strong knowledge of medical coding systems including ICD coding, CPT coding, and DRG classifications. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Ability to work with EMR and EHR systems efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
