Job Description

At Skin and Aesthetics Center , our Medical Receptionists serve as the first point of contact for patients across our extensive network of partner practice locations. As part of our comprehensive healthcare management services organization, this position is essential to delivering exceptional patient service while managing the administrative functions that keep our practices running smoothly. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and skilled at multitasking in a busy healthcare environment. You'll manage patient interactions, scheduling, and administrative duties while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred Proficiency with computer systems and multi-line phone systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in dermatology or specialty medical practice Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures Bilingual (preferred) - ability to communicate with diverse patient populations Experience with electronic health records and practice management systems
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth Schedule appointments across multiple providers and locations efficiently Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographic information Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including payment collection Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take detailed messages Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations with insurance companies Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times Travel between assigned practice locations to provide coverage as needed Support office operations including filing, data entry, and inventory management
