Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing front desk operations while ensuring accurate and efficient medical billing processes. Your expertise will help streamline patient interactions, facilitate smooth administrative workflows, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties Greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and warmth, providing excellent customer service at the front desk Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and update medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect patient payments, process insurance claims, and follow up on outstanding balances using billing software and healthcare claims management tools Code medical procedures accurately utilizing CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Review and process medical documentation for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or discrepancies related to health insurance coverage Maintain organized medical records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting Experience with billing software platforms, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare claims management tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and insurance representatives Familiarity with medical collection processes and health insurance policies Ability to interpret medical records accurately for billing purposes Knowledge of DRG classifications and ICD coding standards to ensure precise claim submissions This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to make a positive impact in healthcare administration.
