Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/Secretary to join our team in a dynamic medical office environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations within our dental clinic and ensuring that all patient interactions are handled with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance as needed. Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records, including care plans and medical coding information. Process patient information efficiently, ensuring compliance with Medicare and ICD-10 standards. Assist with office management tasks, including inventory control and supply ordering. Coordinate communication between medical staff and patients to enhance workflow efficiency. Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times. Handle billing inquiries and assist with insurance verification processes. Skills Experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding practices, including ICD-10 knowledge. Proficient in using phone systems and office management software. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing care plans and patient records. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on patient satisfaction.
