Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Open Dental. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations, and handle insurance claim submissions with accuracy. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and updating dental systems. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Skills Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Bilingual proficiency is a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Solid understanding of dental terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills such as 10-key typing for data entry tasks. Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with office management procedures including intake procedures and appointment scheduling is essential.
