Job Description

The Perinatal Associates of New Mexico (PANM) team is excited to announce one (1) full-time Medical Receptionist/Secretary position supporting our Santa Fe office. Applicants interested in working forty (40) hours per week should apply. Our offices are extremely busy and Medical Receptionists/Secretaries must be able to handle incoming phone calls and patient interactions simultaneously. Candidates must be comfortable with developing strategies to keep track of various tasks and requests while also addressing interruptions from patients, providers or incoming phone calls. Medical Receptionist/Secretary duties include:
Greet and acknowledge all patients in a positive and friendly demeanor at all times. Commitment to highest level patient service and satisfaction. Assist patients and providers with all aspects of registration and appointment scheduling including explaining office policies to patients. Knowledge of medical terminology with detailed and working understanding of obstetrical terms and conditions. Collect co-pays and account balances. Verify patient insurance coverage. Triage incoming calls to appropriate parties and relay messages to clinic and providers with appropriate documentation. Confirm next day appointments. Work with other office locations to coordinate scheduling, request archived medical records and supplies as needed. Opening and closing office duties.
