Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at our front desk, ensuring seamless patient experiences from scheduling to check-out. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help uphold our reputation for outstanding customer service while managing administrative tasks with precision. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical and dental billing, including medical collections when applicable. Manage patient records with strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Answer phone calls promptly, providing excellent customer service and guiding patients through their inquiries. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring all medical records are complete and up-to-date. Assist with medical coding including CPT codes, ICD-9/10 codes, Medicare documentation, and care plans to support billing processes. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist with clinic or office experience. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), insurance processing, and health information management. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in typing and 10-key operations. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations. Knowledge of dental clinic operations and experience with clinical confidentiality policies is highly desirable.
