Medical Receptionist

Southern Tier Pulmonary is a private medical practice. Seeking a strong, experienced medical receptionist to join the team. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and service. Therefore, we are seeking a candidate who is positive, fast paced, well-organized with exceptional customer service skills. The candidate has to have at least two years working in the same or similar position. Knowledge and experience with the EMR system MEDENT is a plus. Job Duties include but are not limited to. Greeting patients in a positive professional manner in person and on the phone. Checking patients in and out which includes: Verifying personal information. Obtaining insurance information, photo id. Collect any copay or account balances when required. Scheduling future appointment, rescheduling appointments already made. Building new patient charts and sending out consult paperwork prior to appointments. Assist in making sure that the patient waiting room is clean and patient user friendly. Answering phones, creating patient-initiated triages.
