Job Description
our organization is seeking a Medical Receptionist who is committed to providing outstanding customer service while ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Responsibilities Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls professionally and courteously. Greet patients and complete check-in/check-out procedures using the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Verify patient demographics and insurance information. Obtain patient signatures and ensure all required paperwork is completed. Collect copays and other patient payments while processing transactions accurately. Notify providers of patient arrivals and communicate delays or scheduling changes. Schedule appointments, procedures, and additional services as needed. Obtain referrals, authorizations, eligibility verification, and other required documentation. Maintain adequate office supplies by monitoring inventory and notifying management of ordering needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Provide coverage for evening and weekend hours when needed. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to support daily office operations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Office Administration program or At least 6 months of Medical Receptionist experience , or At least 1 year of clerical experience . Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. #
