Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a healthcare setting in New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping scheduling and administrative tasks organized. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping the office run smoothly through attentive service and accurate coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally, provide check-in support, and ensure front-desk interactions are efficient and courteous.
- Manage appointment calendars by scheduling, confirming, and updating patient visits in accordance with office procedures.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and direct messages to the appropriate clinical or administrative staff.
- Maintain accurate patient intake and front-office records while supporting day-to-day administrative workflows.
- Coordinate patient arrival processes, verify basic information, and prepare documentation needed for appointments.
- Support general receptionist duties such as handling correspondence, monitoring the reception area, and assisting with office organization.
