Medical Secretary Assistant:

1 shift available full time in our Port Jefferson Station office

Shift:

Monday 8:30-5:00, Tuesday 8:30-7:00, Wednesday 8:30-5:00, Thursday 8:30-5:00, Friday 8:30-3:00 and alternating every other Saturday with Friday is a must. As a Medical Secretary you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Answering phones Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Check in patients and prepare patients charts Confirming patients appointments Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Verify patients insurances Skill Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong planning skills and organized Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software '
