Be the Face of Exceptional Care | Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator Concerned Dental Care of Port Jefferson is looking for an experienced, patient-focused Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our team in Port Jefferson Station, NY. This position is primarily a dental front desk/reception role, but we're looking for someone who can do more than answer phones and schedule appointments. The ideal candidate understands the dental patient journey and is comfortable helping patients understand recommended treatment, navigate insurance benefits and financial arrangements, schedule their care, and follow through on treatment plans. 9AM-5PM Your Role What You'll Do Welcome patients, manage check-in/check-out, answer phones, and provide a professional, friendly front-office experience Schedule and confirm appointments while helping maintain productive provider schedules and efficient patient flow Maintain accurate patient records, process payments, and support insurance verification and administrative needs Work with providers to prepare and present treatment plans, financial estimates, and insurance benefits Help patients understand treatment recommendations, financial responsibilities, and payment arrangements Schedule accepted treatment and follow up with patients on pending or incomplete treatment plans Assist with insurance pre-authorizations and treatment-related paperwork Collaborate with the clinical team to keep the office organized, productive, and focused on an excellent patient experience Utilize Denticon and other office technology while maintaining HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards What We're Looking For 1+ year of dental office experience required; 2+ years preferred Dental front desk, receptionist, or treatment coordination experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and dental insurance Comfortable discussing treatment plans, financial estimates, insurance benefits, and patient responsibility Dental software experience required; Denticon experience is a plus Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy dental office High school diploma or GED required Help Patients Say "Yes" to the Care They Need This role is about more than managing the front desk.
