In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Your energetic approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient communication between patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with appointment scheduling using systems like Modmed and Athenahealth. Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately. Perform insurance verification, and collect payments or co-pays while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation, updating EHR systems. Assist with patient intake procedures, including data entry, updating personal information, and explaining clinic policies clearly. Support medical billing processes through coding review, documentation review, and submitting claims for Medicare or other insurance providers. Manage front desk operations efficiently by filing paperwork, managing appointment schedules, and coordinating with clinical staff to optimize clinic flow. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred but not necessary Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems is preferred, willing to train. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in Medical Office, hospital settings is advantageous. Familiarity with office management software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) enhances your effectiveness in this role.
