Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with dental and medical terminology, as well as experience with Dentrix or other dental software is highly desirable. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage phone calls with professionalism, providing information and answering inquiries. Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for providers. Handle patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Process dental billing and coding using CDT standards. Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming front desk area. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery. Utilize computerized systems effectively for patient management and documentation. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental or medical administration is a plus. Proficiency in computer systems and software such as Dentrix applications relevant to front desk operations. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical billing practices, and basic coding principles. Strong patient service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for all visitors. Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
