Job Description
An established private practice in Upper Arlington is seeking someone who has medical office experience, is compassionate, reliable, and professional. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and suppling information to patients, families, and other visitors at the front desk or by telephone.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors of the practice, friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Answer phone calls Ensure all requests are handled in a timely manner. Follow proper opening/closing procedures Collect, enter, and maintain all patient demographic and insurance/payer information in an accurate and detailed manner. Respond accurately and promptly to all request to verify, correct, or update such information as required by the practice and insurance/payers as appropriate. Record all phone messages, insurance and demographic information accurately Maintain professional and positive attitude and appearance at all timesRequired Skills & Abilities:
Can be here by 6:45 am Monday - Friday. Be a team player Work in a face paced environment, comfortable answering phones, be confident and a problem solver Ability to communicate professionally with diverse population, including staff, physicians, and referral sources, patients, families, and the public, ensuring confidentiality at all times Basic office skills such as EMR experience, Insurance Companies, proper phone etiquette, scanning, emailing Ability to handle several tasks accurately and simultaneously in a distracting environment. Attention to detail Stable job history Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to handle and resolve problems Neat appearance, professional demeanor and pleasant voice We offer a nice life/work balance, lunch provided 3 days a week, PTO, Medical and Dental benefits offered and 401K. Collaborate effectively with a team of five to complete shared tasks and perform outstanding teamwork.Work Hours:
