Full Job Description Job Title:
Medical Receptionist Supervisor:
Site Manager This position exists to assist in the delivery of quality primary healthcare and care management to patients of Internal Medicine West. Hours would vary between 7:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to: Maintain patient confidentiality. 2. Answer multiple incoming patient phone lines.3. Triage incoming phone call appropriately. This includes scheduling patient appointments, creating telephone encounters and providing requested information.4. Maintain appropriate scheduling processes and policies.5. Collect appropriate patient forms, insurance information, co-payments/balances, and demographics at time of service.6. Demonstrate the ability to work as a team member.7. Maintain the work area in a neat and organized manner.8. Report urgent issues, patient emergencies to the office manager or physician(s) as appropriate in a timely manner.9. Initiate problem-solving when needed to ensure patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.10. Learn the responsibilities of the other positions in the business office.11. Attend required meetings.12. Perform other related work as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be a high school graduate. 2. One-year prior work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. 3. Must demonstrate knowledge of medical business office procedures. 4. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. 5. Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. 6. Must always be courteous, friendly, diplomatic, tactful and professional when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. 7. Must have knowledge of computer/word processing systems 8. Must work flexible hours as assigned.
