Job Description

We are a local, family dental office seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and efficiency Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix ensuring optimal patient flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle billing procedures including medical collection tasks and documentation review Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and managing appointment reminders Assist with administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry and managing electronic health records Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient intake, care plans, and follow-up appointments Ensure smooth office operations by managing clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and maintaining office supplies Duties as assigned by dentist Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing procedures Experience working with Dentrix is essential Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Familiarity with insurance verification processes, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), and HIPAA compliance standards Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette in handling inquiries and scheduling requests Office management experience within a healthcare setting that emphasizes medical administrative support and front desk responsibilities
