The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients calling the office and will provide professional, courteous assistance while helping ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Direct calls to appropriate staff or departments Take and relay accurate messages to providers and staff Provide basic information to patients regarding office procedures, directions, and appointment preparation Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information Assist with patient reminders and follow-up calls Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Support front office staff with administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling systems preferred Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Skills Customer service focused Attention to detail Dependable and punctual Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Work Environment Busy medical office setting requiring frequent phone interaction with patients, providers, and staff.
