Job Description

Integrated healthcare clinic and training facility seeks Front Desk Associate. The greatest healthcare and fitness facility in Portland is now hiring front desk associates to be the face and voice of our innovative space. You'll be our patient/athlete/client's advocate and hospitality expert extraordinaire. In addition to standard front desk responsibilities like filing, scheduling, processing payments, and keeping the space spotless, you'll be the initiative-taking support we need to keep up with our awesome community. Responsibilities Front Desk Associates provide a wide spectrum of support, ranging from daily tasks to more sporadic areas of assistance. Not all responsibilities are listed below. The ability to improvise and think quickly is essential to the success of Evolution. Primary (Daily)
Tasks:
  • Serve as a resource of information about every trainer in the facility.
  • Check In/Out clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Collect payments and maintain an accurate record of incoming payments.
  • Sell retail merchandise and maintain an accurate cashbox and record of payments.
  • Open and close the facility.
  • Help to facilitate a clean environment with daily cleanings of the hallways, bathrooms, breakroom, and facility.
  • Adhere to all OHSA and HIPAA guidelines.
Additional (Non-Routine)
Tasks:
  • Assist Director of Training Operations with research, marketing, event coordination, and other miscellaneous tasks.
  • Help set up and put away equipment for group classes as needed.
  • Provide building tours to prospective clients. Necessary Traits/Skills
  • Multi-task throughout the duration of a shift
  • Respond and properly route incoming phone calls and e-mails in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate areas of further education/training needed, and areas of improvement for the office.
  • Maintain work integrity throughout the duration of the shift, including, but not limited to, arriving on time, leaving on time, completing tasks, and not partaking in personal business while on the clock.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work within 5 minutes of the scheduled shift times, as well as leaving within this window. Maintain an accurate time sheet via the Timeclock system. Desirable Characteristics
  • Someone who can rock a busy schedule as well as a bouldering wall.
  • Someone who says "No problem; I'm on it" as often as "Thank you. Have a great day!"
  • Someone who loves technology, has been known to color code a thing or two, and is a drill sergeant with the details.
  • They'll be quick on the uptake, engaging, trustworthy, flexible, and professional.
  • They'll know that laughter and exercise are the best medicine, a job well done is the best reward, and that not all dreams happen when you're sleeping.
  • Someone who wants to BELIEVE in and truly LOVE the place where they work.

  • Prior is only slightly less than required.
