We're seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional patient care, manage appointment scheduling, and assist with administrative duties. This position will be 40 hours per week, M-F between the hours of 7:30 am and 7:30 pm. We are offering $19-$22/hr depending on experience. Tasks and Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In and Check-Out Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verify personal and insurance information, and update records as necessary. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation. Appointment Scheduling and Management Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups, consultations, and specialized treatments, ensuring minimal scheduling conflicts. Communications Management Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members or healthcare providers. Communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, test results, and billing inquiries. Proactively reach out to patients assigned to our clinic for primary care, assisting them with appointment scheduling, registration, and setting up necessary healthcare services to ensure a seamless transition and continuous care. Medical Record Management Accurately input patient data into Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain organized medical records. Ensure patient records are up-to-date and readily accessible to healthcare providers. Insurance Verification and Billing Assistance Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance authorizations or referrals. Coordinate with insurance companies and provide patients with necessary billing information. Patient Support and Care Coordination Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs, concerns, and questions in a friendly and empathetic manner. Help patients navigate the clinic's services, including both primary and alternative care options. Maintain Office Supplies and Cleanliness Monitor inventory of office supplies and reorder as necessary to ensure smooth clinic operations. Maintain a clean and welcoming front office environment for patients and visitors. Confidentiality and Compliance Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain the confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information. Ensure that patient privacy is respected at all times during check-in, consultations, and data handling. General Office Duties Handle general administrative tasks such as faxing, photocopying, and mailing documents. Perform data entry and ensure all patient interactions and communications are documented accurately. Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution Address patient complaints or issues with a calm, solutions-oriented approach, escalating issues as needed to management or providers.
