We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and professional
PART-TIME
Receptionist to support the daily operations of our chiropractic clinic. This dual-role position involves both front-desk responsibilities and administrative oversight to ensure a smooth and welcoming patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and experienced in a healthcare office environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling administrative tasks while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Hours will be part time with vacation coverage and average of 10-15 hours a week. Friday mornings are a required day to work from 6:45am-12:30pm.

Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, follow-ups, and cancellations. Handle medical collections and insurance verification processes efficiently. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Utilize EHR systems such as ChiroTouch and Demandforce for patient data entry and retrieval. Review care plans and assist with medical billing and coding using CPT and ICD-10 coding systems. Provide clerical support including filing, scanning, typing, and managing multi-line phone and fax systems. Conduct intake procedures for new patients while ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately. Assist in the management of health information while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist and/or in a similar role within a medical office or Chiropractic clinic setting is required . Proficiency in medical terminology (neuromusculoskeletal system) and familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is advantageous. Knowledge of EHR systems such as ChiroTouch, Office Ally or similar platforms is highly desired. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and 10-key typing ability. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service and satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively; with well manored phone skills. Strong organizational techniques with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes, keeping work station clean and organized. Experience with insurance verification processes is beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
