Job Description
Answer phone lines, understand patient's needs and book appropriate appointments Record and send patient requests and questions to correct staff for follow up Greet patients at check in, confirm patient information and obtain necessary paperwork Schedule appointments, surgeries, testing (CT scans, MRIs, referral appointments) Pre-certify tests and procedures Prepare charts for patient encounters and confirm patient appointments Check-out patients, provide paperwork, enter charges, and process payment Post payments and reconcile any discrepancies with insurance company and/or patient Generate patient letters and referral letters as directed by providers Reconcile daily payments and financial reports Open and distribute mail Maintain neat and orderly patient waiting areas Maintain neat and orderly work space Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Medical administrative support
- Patient service experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Proficient at keyboarding and with Office365 software
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and patient inquiries
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
